leave-it-to-this said: I read your response about "fake ass Mex.". I run into a lot of these " fake ass Mex" who know nothing about their culture or speak the language. Some of these "fake Mex."look at me and call me fake because my music taste is diff, I look " white" yet my first language was Spanish, my father made sure we knew about our culture.. I've been to Mexico numerous times to visit family and am proud of being Mex. American. I plan on passing my heritage along to my kids. I'm just tired of the stereotypes

You know I think its great that you want to pass your heritage onto your future niños, y que no le haces caso a la gente que te huzga por la musica que te gusta, but can we just refrain from calling nuestra gente “fake ass”. We all have of our own way of displaying nuestro orgullo mexicano asi que ay que calmarle con eso del name calling.

Sailors aboard Mexican Navy Tall Ship CuauhtĂ©moc descend from the rigging as it docks at Pier 66 on Aug. 28, 2014. It will be here (Seattle) until September 1. The CuauhtĂ©moc is a teaching vessel from the Mexican Navy, where cadets are trained in international waters before graduating as officials. It was built in Spain in 1982 and has since sailed around the world for over 30 years. It’s open to visitors daily from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm. The ship will set sail for Vancouver, BC on September 1st.
